Derek Peterson joined AsherKelly in 2023 after several years of litigation experience. Derek earned his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University, where he participated in moot court and the healthcare law society. While in law school, Derek served as a judicial intern for Judge Elizabeth Gleicher of the Michigan Court of Appeals. Derek received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Michigan State University. Derek is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Young Lawyers Section.
